IMPACT MADE EASY

Using video for training and education is a smart option in more ways than one. Training and educational films have four key advantages.

  • Exactly the same information is delivered to every single person, guaranteeing consistency.

  • They can be viewed (and paused) at any time making them accessible.

  • They can be watched more than once to help you make sure you have understood the message.

  • The ability to script and edit a film means that it can be concise and clear making it more engaging.

Here are some samples of films we have produced for a variety of clients. These films are all short sample versions of longer films. They do not cover the whole subject and are only intended to give a feel for the approaches which are possible.

Newton Rooms:- Renewables

This is a short intro to one of a series of films we were asked to make for the Newton Room network. The films have been produced to communicate to school pupils between 10 and 14 the exciting options that exit in working in a science based job. Each film concentrates on a specific area of science, in this case renewable energy. The brief stated that they need to be fast paced and engaging for the target audience. During the early stages of production the feedback from test viewings with groups of pupils was incoporated into the final format.

Coupling and Uncoupling a Trailer

JBT wanted to produce a series of refresher videos covering various basic tasks which their staff have to undertake. The need for refresher videos is partly due to the variety of different vehicles the company operates. They had identified that from time to time if a member of the team was asked to move to a vehicle which they may not have driven for a period of time, being able to quickly familiarise themselves with basic functions would be crucial. The film is part of a series we were asked to produce covering a range of tasks and functions.

Resuscitative Thoracotomy

The NHS wanted a film that would take health care professionals through the stages of dealing with a Resuscitative Thoracotomy. Filming took place at the NHS training suite near Falkirk and involved paramedics, nurses and doctors. Essentially the full team who would be involved in such an admission. Filming took place over a day and involved shots from picking up the patient on the street through to completion of the procedure in an operating room. The full film provides a comprehensive 25 minute run through of each stage in the procedure and is being used to train various health care professionals.

Induction - Our Vision

We created an online induction site for Pat Munro. This short film is part of a series of short films which are delivered by a member of their senior management team. It provides new employees with a brief insight into the company's vision. Meaning that everyone who joins the company gets exactly the same information. New employees can even watch some of the induction before they start with the company enabling them to hit the ground running on their first day.

Inside Biometrics

KEYA Smart

Because of its unique ability to deliver a diabetes test the manufacturers wanted to produce a short animation that explained how the meter worked for new customers. The KEYA Smart is the first meter that combines, into one test, accurate blood glucose measurement plus accurate detection of blood ketones whenever they are present. This ability needed to be explained in very clear messaging. The animation was created using stock imagery of the meter and additional materials created and sourced by DP.

NHS Lanarkshire

Fitting a Sling

The Upper Limb Team at NHS Lanarkshire commissioned us to produce a short film which demonstrated the correct way to fit a shoulder immobiliser sling. The film was scripted and delivered by a member of the NHS team and a simple demonstration was filmed with another member of the team. The final film is short and concise while showing exactly what needs to be done to fit the immobiliser correctly.
